The UK government votes today on whether or not to TRIPLE tuition fees for university (college) beginning in 2012 in the state. Students are outraged and have been protesting for weeks! As today is their last chance, protesters have been collecting in London and will continue to protest throughout the night to voice their disapproval.
As a high school senior awaiting college acceptances and financial aid, my heart goes out to these British students. I think the protests are a great way to show their concern and I hope the government really gets the message. If this issue came up in the U.S., I know I would be outside protesting day and night!
