Murder suspect released on bail

Shrien Dewani, accused of having his wife killed, has been allowed to leave jail on bail. Dewani, a successful business man, and his wife were on their honeymoon in South Africa, where Dewani's wife was murdered. Dewani is accused of hiring a crew of hitmen to kill his wife during a taxi ride in Cape Town, South Africa. A lawyer for the South African government has acquired surveillance footage of Dewani meeting with a cab driver twice before his wife's murder. However, British Judge Ousely ruled that Dewani has cooperated with investigators from both England and South Africa, thus approving his bail. Prosecutors have claimed that Dewani paid the taxi driver $2170 to have a crew of hitmen kill his wife. The drive of the cab, Zola Tongo, admitted to taking part in the killing and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Dewani's involvement will be further investigated.
