Republicans voted today against the new health care bill that would help to give benefits to 9/11 workers who are suffering from all of the toxins and fumes from 9/11. Republicans worry that there is not enough money to fund the health care that will be needed for all of the victims of the fumes. The bill needed 60 votes to pass but only received 57. The bill would help to treat respiratory illnesses that came from working near the 9/11 site or helping to save the victims in the towers. Democrats want to pass the bill before the end of the 111th Congress.
