Obama urges China to check North Korea

The sign of growing tension between South Korea and North Korea caused President Obama to call President of China to discuss about it. China is the most influential country to North Korea. For this reason, President Obama urged Chinese president, Hu Jintao, to control North Korea’s behavior towards South Korea. President Obama also stated, “It was important for the North Koreans to understand that their actions would have consequences, including in their relations with China.” It is hard to predict what the proposal to China would cause China to do, but American officials are sure that China would be reluctant to act. China had never stand against North Korea’s government nor even criticize them about their behaviors. Still, the United States are expecting some answers from China.
