Nigerian Polling Machines gone MIA

"Nigerian Election Equipment Stolen at Airport"

Polling in Nigeria was "deeply flawed" in the 2007 election, so the pressure is on as the 2011 April elections approach. But the chaos has already begun! 20 data machines as well as laptops and cameras using for polling were stolen at the Lagos International Airport in Nigeria. Almost all of the machines have been recovered and are confirmed to be in tact. Still 5 months out from the election, I imagine that it can only go downhill from here. I have a feeling these elections are going to get messy.

  1. The machines may be intact, but have they been tested for any hacks? With Nigeria's history, elections is a time for worry. I suppose we will see if the machines have any issues and if corruption plays a role.
